From my base here in Bristol I offer coverage across the South West, South Wales, Southern England and the Midlands. 

I trained as an apprentice in a traditional workshop setting before embarking on a BA (Hons) in Piano Tuning and Restoration at Newark College.

Tuning - £65

Note - a pitch raise to concert pitch may incur an additional cost. A reduced rate of £50 is applicable to education institutions and community centres.

Regulation

The touch and responsiveness of the piano is paramount. We can improve upon the touch through a process of regulation.

Voicing

The tonal quality of any given piano can be altered, largely through adjusting the density of the hammers. If desired the piano can be made to sound slightly warmer or brighter.

Minor Repairs

I'm happy to attend to any minor repairs which need doing, at an additional cost. However simple procedures are inclusive while attending a tuning.

Action Restoration

The piano mechanism has many moving parts and these over time, can show some wear and tear. The mechanism can be restored to your desired degree, be that a quick once over or a complete restoration to fully optimise the action.
